Casal di Principe: 33-year-old arrested for domestic abuse and extortion of cohabitants.

This morning, Carabinieri officers from the Casal di Principe station arrested a 33-year-old local man, suspected of mistreatment of family members living with him and extortion against his relatives.

The military's intervention was triggered by a call for help received via the emergency number regarding a tense situation inside a home in the city center. Once on site, the Carabinieri reconstructed a pattern of repeated harassment and assaults against two family members living together.

According to the findings, the man, a habitual drug user, allegedly repeatedly threatened, insulted, and verbally and physically assaulted his mother and sister, persistently demanding money. This behavior, over time, created a constant state of fear in the victims.

Further investigations also revealed that similar incidents had already been reported in recent months by the victims, prompting the judicial authorities to take appropriate protective measures.

Based on the information gathered, the Carabinieri arrested the man, who was then transferred to the Santa Maria Capua Vetere prison, where he remains at the disposal of the judicial authorities pending the validation hearing.
