Naples: A schoolyard in the Sanità district becomes a theater: "The Rubble Show" begins.

Naples – From June 18th to 21st, at 9:15 pm, the courtyard of the Froebeliano complex of the Russo-Montale Institute, at Via Stella 137, in the Sanità district, will host “The Macerie Show,” a party-performance conceived by Putéca Celidònia.
The initiative is promoted and co-financed by the Municipality of Naples as part of its 2026/2027 cultural program, with the support of the Teatro Pubblico Campano, Municipality 3, and the contribution of the INPS PSMSAD Fund.

The project is one of the 55 interventions envisaged under Action Line 2 of the "Cultura Napoli 2026" call for proposals, intended to animate all the city's municipalities until March 2027. This widespread and multidisciplinary program, strongly supported by Mayor Gaetano Manfredi, aims to enhance culture as a tool for growth, inclusion, and promotion of the region.

Inspired by The Little Prince, the show offers a reflection on the relationship between communities and new generations, transforming the "rubble," both material and symbolic, into an opportunity for rebirth and participation.
For four evenings, the schoolyard will become a site-specific theater open to the city. Nine professional actors will perform, along with twenty children and young people participating in the free "InPutéca Recitando" workshop. This event represents the culmination of a journey that unites art, education, and the local community, giving back to the community a school space experienced as a place of shared culture and growth.

The initiative also includes accessibility measures, with reserved seating for people with reduced mobility and simultaneous translation into Italian Sign Language (LIS) in one performance. Sustainability is also a priority, with sets created using recycled materials.

The direction and dramaturgy are by Emanuele D'Errico. The sets are by Rosita Vallefuoco, the costumes are by Giuseppe Avallone, the original music is by Tommy Grieco, while the lighting design is by D. Angeloni and G. Di Lorenzo. The singing is by G. Montagnaro.
