Salerno – The truth from the stories of Luigi 'Luca' Esposito and Ridha Rahmouni, the 26-year-old Tunisian accused of his murder.
This morning, the Salerno Public Prosecutor's Office assigned a technical task to analyze and extract data from the phones seized from the victim and the murderer, to "acquire investigative data of interest." This was announced by Annalisa Califano, attorney for Luigi "Luca" Esposito's sisters, Ida and Francesca Esposito, commenting on the future investigative developments following the arrest of the Tunisian national accused of the murder of the Salerno sports journalist.
According to the Esposito family's lawyer, the expert report will be submitted within 120 days. The contents of the seized cell phones and devices, particularly those belonging to Rahmouni, will be analyzed with the help of an Arabic-speaking interpreter who will be appointed to analyze the suspect's chats.
The unique investigations ordered by the Prosecutor's Office are intended to crystallize the evidence and probe the motive for the murder described by the Tunisian. Luigi Esposito's body is currently under seizure. The Prosecutor's Office will decide in the coming days when the journalist's body can be returned to his family for the funeral.
