Naples: 48-year-old man assaults father for money, then kicks and punches police officers.

Another incident of domestic violence has occurred in Naples. Yesterday evening, a 48-year-old man was arrested by the State Police on charges of resisting arrest, following an intervention at the Centro Direzionale following a reported family dispute.

The alarm reached the Police Headquarters Operations Room, which immediately dispatched a patrol from the San Carlo-Arena and Poggioreale police stations, engaged in territorial control operations, to the scene.

Police intervention

Upon reaching the home, the officers encountered a clearly agitated man. According to the investigation, the 48-year-old allegedly demanded money from his father and, when the elderly man refused, first threatened and then physically assaulted him.

The investigations carried out on site also revealed that similar behavior had already occurred on previous occasions, outlining a situation of already known family tension.

Kicks and punches against the officers: the handcuffs snap on

The arrival of law enforcement didn't restore calm. Upon seeing the officers, the 48-year-old reportedly began cursing them, quickly escalating from words to actions, kicking and punching them in an attempt to escape.

The officers managed to subdue the man after a brief struggle, subduing him, and arresting him on charges of resisting arrest. Following the formalities, the 48-year-old was released to the judicial authorities.
