Pimonte, a business seized for illegal betting: a 32-year-old arrested.

The Carabinieri of the Pimonte station, in the province of Naples, executed a precautionary seizure order issued by the preliminary investigations judge of the Torre Annunziata Court, at the request of the Oplonti prosecutor's office. The person under investigation is a 32-year-old local man, owner of a sole proprietorship, who is seriously suspected of operating an illegal betting business.

According to the findings of investigators from the Castellammare di Stabia Company, along with inspection personnel from the Naples Customs and Monopolies Agency, the suspect was operating in violation of the regulations governing the gaming sector.

Although he was formally linked to a concessionaire company with a contract that assigned him exclusively promotional tasks, the man allegedly managed the physical collection of remote bets in a structured and continuous manner.

The illegal activity was allegedly conducted through the intermediation of third parties and the abusive use of gaming accounts held by other individuals. During the searches, the officers found two active computer workstations, connected to the concessionaire's platform via a management account linked to the suspect.

Five electronic devices connected to a thermal printer, used to print receipts, were also seized, as well as numerous bets already placed.
The investigation, coordinated by the Torre Annunziata Public Prosecutor's Office, is continuing to determine any possible links with other individuals involved in the illegal betting industry.
