In the photo, a detail of the story.
Cetara – The summer curtain doesn't fall in Cetara, it lights up. Until September 4th, the Amalfi Coast village confirms its status as an open-air stage with the final, eagerly awaited events of the "Le Notti Azzurre – Summer Edition 2026" festival. The program, sponsored by the Municipality, closes the season with a mix of entertainment, culture, and food and wine that aims to showcase the area and its traditions.
The third edition of "Concerti al Borgo" kicks off tonight, Thursday, August 20th, at 9:30 pm in Piazzetta San Pietro. The Rêverie Sax Quartet, a young ensemble, will offer a musical journey through Rossini, Bizet, Iturralde, and Piazzolla, blending classical repertoire and contemporary sounds under the artistic direction of maestros Pietro Gatto and Vincenzo Scannapieco.
The weekend promises to be intense. On Friday, August 21st, Largo Marina will host the Latin rhythms of "Suoni Latini," while on Saturday, August 22nd, Molo Madonnina will host one of the most evocative events: "Candle Poetry – The Sea of Consciousness." An evening of poetry, music, and song immersed in the magic of candles, with author Gilda Caprara and pianist Alessandro Marano, accompanied by journalist Rossella Graziuso and the Puzzle APS Association.
After a brief hiatus, the festival resumes on Thursday, August 27th with "Songs from around the World" in Largo Marina. The highlight for those who love laughter is scheduled for Friday, August 28th: a comedy show by Simone Schettino, a familiar face from "Made in Sud." Saturday, August 29th will be the turn of the "Cetara Summer Fest – Special Edition Nei 90 io c'ero," a dive into the glossy atmosphere of the 1990s, enhanced by a fireworks display by Senatore Fireworks.
The grand finale features signature food and wine. On Friday, September 4th, "Sorso" will take place at Molo Madonnina, the event organized by Ami Cetara 2026 in collaboration with Grapee. This format combines wine, food, and live music, featuring labels from Nativ and Cantine De Vita, specialties from Armatore, and the cuisine of chef Sabatino Saggese. The tastings will be accompanied by the voice of Carmen Pierri, winner of The Voice of Italy 2019, in an original song pairing.
All events are free, with the exception of "Sorso," which requires a ticket. The festival is organized by the Municipality of Cetara with the support of the Salerno Chamber of Commerce and the collaboration of numerous local associations, including Pro Loco, Youth Forum, and Visit Cetara.
