In Campi Flegrei, the number of buildings evacuated has risen to 89: 525 homes affected, with over 760 projects still to be completed.

The bradyseism emergency in the Phlegraean Fields continues to strain rescue workers and equipment. Nearly a week after the magnitude 4.7 earthquake, which struck at 7:46 PM on July 31st, had its epicenter in the Solfatara area of ​​Pozzuoli, the results of technical assessments and evacuations confirm the extent of the emergency.

According to updated data released by the Naples Provincial Fire Brigade Command, 89 buildings have been evacuated, while a total of 525 residential units have been evacuated. Meanwhile, 382 inspections have been carried out, but 767 requests remain to be processed, a sign of ongoing efforts to ensure the safety of residents.

An impressive rescue device

To address the high number of reports, the operational structure has been progressively strengthened. Currently, 37 MO.RECS (Reconnaissance and Expedited Coordination Modules) are deployed in the Phlegraean Field.

In detail, the contingent is composed of:

30 forms from the Fire Brigade Commands of other regions;
4 forms sent by the Campania Commands;
2 modules of the Provincial Command of Naples;
1 form from the Regional Directorate dedicated to urgent interventions on public buildings.

These teams are joined by a task force specializing in the protection of cultural heritage and five teams working to recover the belongings of families forced to flee their homes, an activity carried out in close coordination with the Local Police.

Assistance also for families without water

The Fire Department's work isn't limited to checking the stability of buildings. In the last few hours, the Corps has also intervened to support the population affected by the earthquake.

In Pozzuoli, three tankers were sent to distribute non-potable water to families left without a water supply, helping to address one of the main critical issues that emerged after the earthquake.

"Our Command is currently fully committed on all fronts," emphasized the provincial commander of the Naples Fire Brigade, Giuseppe Paduano.

The director emphasizes how the strengthening of the national system, thanks to the contribution of Commands from across Italy, the Campania Region, and the Regional Directorate, is enabling an increasingly comprehensive response to the population's needs.

In addition to structural assessments of buildings, activities continue to protect cultural heritage, recover personal effects from evacuated homes, and provide assistance to families in need.

Finally, the Fire Brigade Command urges the public to remain calm, follow the instructions of the authorities exclusively, and use the emergency number 115 only in situations of real danger, so as to avoid overloading the emergency lines and allow timely intervention in the most urgent cases.
