Nocera Superiore – Family, friends, colleagues, and officials attended the funeral of Luigi 'Luca' Esposito, the journalist killed on the night between July 18th and 19th on a farm on the outskirts of Eboli in the province of Salerno by Ridha Rahmouni, a 26-year-old Tunisian illegal immigrant.

This morning, the church of Santa Maria Maggiore in Nocera Superiore welcomed relatives, friends, and acquaintances of the 53-year-old. Radio and television crews did not attend the service, waiting outside the churchyard. At the family's request, the funeral was private, and the church was open only to those who actually knew Luca Esposito.
