Naples, the Lazio gallery
Naples – Traffic in the Galleria Laziale has been temporarily changed to allow for some work to be carried out. The new traffic arrangements will be in effect from today, Monday, August 31st, until Friday, September 4th, between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., and in any case until the work is completed.
During the work, vehicles will be prohibited from using the bus lane from Piazza Sannazaro towards Via Fuorigrotta.
Motorists heading towards Fuorigrotta will therefore have to use an alternative route, passing through the Quattro Giornate Tunnel.
The change will be in effect only during the times indicated, except for any extensions related to the operational needs of the construction site.
A second measure will be implemented later. From September 7th to 11th, between 10:00 PM and 5:00 AM, and in any case until further notice, a traffic ban will be in place from Via Fuorigrotta towards Piazza Sannazaro.
In this case, drivers will have to follow a more complex alternative route.
The indicated route includes via Caravaggio, via Manzoni, via Nuova Cinthia, the Naples ring road towards Capodichino, the Centro exit, via Diocleziano, viale Cavalleggeri d'Aosta, via Pasquale Leonardi Cattolica, the Coroglio descent and via Posillipo.
The changes were made to allow the work to be carried out safely, limiting interference between the work and vehicular traffic as much as possible.
Drivers are therefore advised to pay particular attention to the signs along the routes and to consider possible slowdowns during the time slots affected by the bans.
