Naples Weather August 10st
Monday, August 10th, begins with intense heat in Naples and the entire Campania region. The African anticyclone continues to dominate the weather, bringing clear or partly cloudy skies, a lack of precipitation, and high temperatures across much of the region. Naples remains among the Italian cities marked with a red flag for heatwave risk, with muggy conditions that will make the central hours of the day particularly harsh.
In the capital, skies will be clear from dawn until evening. Temperatures will range from a low of 27-28 degrees Celsius (80-82 degrees Fahrenheit) to a high of around 35 degrees Celsius (95 degrees Fahrenheit), while winds will be light to moderate from the southwest. The sea will remain calm, encouraging a flow of swimmers along the coast, although the heat will be felt more intensely due to high humidity.
The situation will be virtually identical in the rest of the region. In Caserta, temperatures could reach 36 degrees, while in the provinces of Salerno, Avellino, and Benevento, the sun will be predominantly sunny, with highs between 33 and 35 degrees. No precipitation is expected, and weather conditions will remain stable throughout the day.
Forecasts indicate that the heat will continue in the coming days. Experts predict that the African anticyclone will persist at least until the week of mid-August, with continued high temperatures and a general lack of precipitation in central and southern Italy.
Health authorities urge the elderly, children, and vulnerable individuals in particular to avoid sun exposure between 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM, stay well hydrated, prefer cool environments, and limit outdoor physical activity during the hottest hours of the day.
