Naples Weather August 11st
Campania faces another day of intense heat. Today, Tuesday, August 11th, the African anticyclone continues to dominate the weather, ensuring clear or partly cloudy skies but maintaining high temperatures and widespread muggy conditions across much of the region.
A stable day is expected in Naples, with mostly clear skies and light to moderate southwesterly winds. Temperatures will range between 27 and 35 degrees Celsius, while the perceived temperature may be even higher due to humidity. The sea will also generally be calm.
Conditions will be similar across the rest of the region. Inland, particularly between Caserta, Benevento, and the Sele Valley, temperatures could reach or exceed 35-37 degrees Celsius during the central hours of the day. Along the coast, the sea will only partially mitigate the heat, with nights remaining particularly muggy.
Naples is among the Italian cities affected by the red warning for heat waves. Health authorities recommend avoiding sun exposure during the hottest hours, between 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM, maintaining adequate hydration, and paying particular attention to the elderly, children, and vulnerable individuals.
According to the latest updates, the anticyclone will remain stable at least until mid-August. Only locally, in the mountainous areas of the Campanian Apennines, is the development of brief afternoon thunderstorms possible, but this will not alter the overall picture of intense and persistent heat.
