Naples, fire at the construction site on Via Taverna del Ferro: investigation begins. The prefect intensifies security checks.

Naples – An investigation has been opened into the fire that broke out overnight at the redevelopment site of the public housing complex on Via Taverna del Ferro, in the San Giovanni a Teduccio neighborhood. The flames, in addition to affecting the construction site, spread to damage the exterior facade of one of the neighboring homes.

Investigators are currently working to determine the cause of the fire: they are focusing on analyzing video surveillance footage in the area to determine whether the fire was accidental or malicious.

On the security front, the Prefect of Naples, Michele di Bari, has ordered an immediate strengthening of security and patrol services throughout the affected area. The case will be addressed as a priority by the next Provincial Committee for Public Order and Safety, where further extraordinary measures will be planned to protect the construction site, residents, and the workers involved in the project.
