San Gregorio Matese crowns two Neapolitans: Elena d'Amico, Miss Cinema Campania, and Valeria Nettuno.

San Gregorio Matese – Naples takes center stage on the Matese plateau. During the regional stage of Miss Italia, the prestigious title of Miss Cinema Campania was won by Elena d'Amico, a 19-year-old resident of Caivano who had just graduated from high school. In just two stages, she advanced from the provincial stage to the national semifinalist of the oldest and most famous Italian beauty pageant, founded in 1939. One of the first Miss Cinema pageants in the postwar period was Sophia Loren.

"My journey to Miss Italy," Elena D'Amico stated immediately afterward, "has been a truly fantastic and beautiful experience, a unique journey that has given me incredibly strong emotions and that I will always cherish. It all began last December when I decided to take my chance by passing the casting call on my first try. Then, step by step, it was an incredible crescendo: I earned my place at both the provincial and regional competitions on my first try, until I finally fulfilled a great dream by advancing to the national pre-finals. Winning first place and wearing the Miss Cinema 2026 sash is a huge achievement for me that fills me with pride and gratitude."

The sash of the 62nd Miss Matese, who also qualified for the semi-finals, was won by another Neapolitan, Valeria Nettuno, a very young girl from Cercola.

In the main square of San Gregorio Matese, a charming village of a thousand souls nestled on the eponymous mountain, ideal for this time of year due to its mild temperatures, the Eventeam agency, led by Mariangela Trasparente, Salvatore Gambardella, and Aldo Toscano, the exclusive Campania representatives for the competition, organized the evening together with the Proloco Le Mure and the Municipality of San Gregorio Matese. The jury included Mayor Giuseppe Mallardo, jeweler Maria Natale, representative of Miluna, model Eliana Schiano, and several journalists. The next stop will be in Mondragone on Thursday, October 20th.
