Piano di Sorrento – After months of alleged harassment, threats, and violence against her former partner, a 31-year-old woman was issued a restraining order by the investigating judge of the Torre Annunziata Court, at the request of the Public Prosecutor's Office.
The measure was carried out today by the Carabinieri of the Sorrento Company, following an investigation conducted by the military of the Piano di Sorrento Station.
According to the investigation, the woman is seriously suspected of domestic abuse and aggravated assault against her ex-partner.
According to investigators' reconstruction, the contested incidents began after the couple's de facto separation, which occurred in March 2026.
From that moment on, the 31-year-old allegedly subjected the man to a climate of constant abuse, consisting of insults, threats, and aggressive behavior, often even in front of the couple's minor daughter.
The investigations carried out by the Carabinieri, coordinated by the Torre Annunziata Public Prosecutor's Office, revealed a pattern of repeated harassing behavior towards the victim.
Among the most significant elements that emerged during the investigations was an alleged systematic monitoring of her ex-partner's movements.
According to investigators, the woman allegedly clandestinely installed an Apple AirTag geolocation device, hiding it under the front fender of the man's motorcycle. The device was later located and seized by the Carabinieri, confirming the monitoring activity contested by the investigators.
The most serious incident contested dates back to June 20, 2026.
According to the prosecution's reconstruction, the 31-year-old allegedly reached her ex-partner's home and attacked him, hitting him on the head several times with the heel of her shoe.
The man suffered injuries that were deemed curable in ten days. Unsatisfied, the woman then allegedly threw the victim's motorcycle to the ground, damaging it.
In light of the evidence gathered, the investigating judge ordered the woman to be prohibited from approaching the injured party and the places frequented by the injured party.
The measure requires maintaining a minimum distance of 1.000 meters, prohibiting any form of communication with the victim, and implementing the control tools required by law to ensure compliance.
As provided by law, the decision may be challenged before the Review Court.
The investigation is still in the preliminary phase, and the recipient of the precautionary measure is to be presumed not guilty until a final conviction, in accordance with the constitutional principle of the presumption of innocence.
