Ischia, the rain returns but with disruptions: normality expected by this evening.

The island of Ischia continues to experience water supply disruptions due to the power outage that affected the Mugnano pumping station, located on the mainland.

Although the fault was resolved several hours earlier than initially expected thanks to the timely intervention of E-Distribuzione, water distribution is still irregular in many areas.

The main problem concerns the necessary refilling of storage tanks, which is essential to ensure sufficient water pressure and a constant supply, especially during this peak tourist season. Currently, the situation has returned to normal in the municipalities of Casamicciola and Lacco Ameno, while in Ischia and Forio, the island's most populous towns, water supply is still operating normally only in low-lying areas.

The highest areas continue to experience shortages and reduced pressure, with reports of problems in Via Michele Mazzella, Via Morgioni, Sant'Antuono and Campagnano in Ischia, and in the hamlet of Panza in Forio.

The hillside town of Barano also continues to have limited water supplies. The situation is different in Serrara Fontana, where water has been regularly restored since the previous evening, both in the upper area near Mount Epomeo and along the coastal stretch of Sant'Angelo. In Procida, water supplies are now normal following a temporary rationalization of reservoirs, which limited the inconvenience to residents and tourists.

The goal is to fully restore regular water flow to the entire island by this evening, thus allowing a return to normality after the emergency caused by the blackout.
