André-Frank Zambo Anguissa underwent a day of checks today. He and Napoli's medical staff visited the Santa Lucia Nursing Home in San Giuseppe Vesuviano, a facility belonging to the NefroCenter group, as part of the medical and scientific collaboration established with the club.

At the heart of the investigations is the new 3 Tesla magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), a highly specialized device unique in Southern Italy and integrated with artificial intelligence systems, particularly suited to musculoskeletal diagnostic protocols.

Anguissa's presence at the medical facility is therefore part of the evaluation process of the Cameroonian midfielder's physical condition, on the eve of an important match for Napoli.

Anguissa will not be at the Maradona

Massimiliano Allegri had already announced that the player would not be available for the match against Bologna during the press conference introducing the match. The Italian coach therefore cleared up any doubts about Anguissa's possibility of playing at the Maradona stadium.

The midfielder will not be playing, and the nature of the problem and, more importantly, his recovery time remain to be determined. Tests and subsequent assessments by the medical staff will provide a more accurate picture.
