Carabinieri police have intensified checks in Santa Maria Capua Vetere and surrounding municipalities, with four people reported and 25 traffic violations detected in a single nighttime operation.

During a nighttime patrol in Santa Maria Capua Vetere and surrounding municipalities, Carabinieri officers from the local unit conducted targeted checks to combat illegal activities and ensure road safety. Four people were reported and 25 traffic violations were issued, resulting in a total of 74 people and 60 vehicles being checked.
Among the reports, a 34-year-old man from Santa Maria Capua Vetere, already under house arrest, was caught outside his home, violating the provisions of the restrictive measure he was under. In San Prisco, a 43-year-old man of Moroccan origin was stopped driving a moped without license plates or documents. The vehicle was seized and the man charged with receiving stolen goods and money laundering.
In Santa Maria Capua Vetere, a 24-year-old resident of Curti was charged with assault for assaulting her mother during an argument. Furthermore, in Piazza Mazzini, a young Albanian minor was found in possession of a modified cell phone containing 21,7 grams of hashish and charged with possession with intent to sell.
The checks also resulted in the revocation of two driving licenses, three vehicle registration certificates, the seizure of two vehicles, and the administrative detention of another vehicle. The operation reflects the Carabinieri's ongoing commitment to enhancing security and preventing behavior that is dangerous to the community.
The people involved in the complaints are to be considered innocent until any final decisions are made, as the investigations are still ongoing.
