The very lucky SuperEnalotto winner who yesterday hit the number 6 worth €223,1 million at the "Al Chicherin" bar in Oggiono, Brianza, will soon face a hefty tax bill on his winnings. Approximately €44,6 million, equal to 20% of the amount exceeding €500, will be withheld by the state as required by Italian "luck tax" legislation.

The rules also impose strict deadlines for claiming the prize: the winner has 90 days from the official publication of the result on the SuperEnalotto website to present the receipt for the winning entry at the Sisal Spa prize offices, open Monday to Friday mornings.

This win represents the tenth "6" won in Lombardy since 1997, and the first in the region since May 2025, when a lucky draw won €35,4 million in Desenzano del Garda. Campania leads the regional rankings with 20 "6s," followed by Lazio with 17 and Emilia-Romagna with 13. Two regions, Valle d'Aosta and Molise, have never recorded a first-class win.
