There are 2.238.802 individuals residing in Campania who own at least one car or motorcycle up to 80 kW and who could be eligible for the road tax exemption planned for 2027.
The figures, released by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, illustrate the impact of the measure on the regional territory. A total of 2.781.321 cars and 729.142 motorcycles circulate in Campania under the 80 kW threshold: over 3,5 million vehicles in total.
The measure approved by the Council of Ministers establishes a road tax exemption for the first vehicle for next year, without introducing ISEE-related limits. The measure therefore affects a broad range of citizens who use cars and motorcycles daily for work, family needs, and travel.
The Campania data highlights the impact the measure could have on regional private mobility, considering the number of vehicles falling within the established power threshold.
The measure, the Ministry of Transport's note recalls, is "supported by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Matteo Salvini."
Salvini himself expressed satisfaction with the measure, also indicating the goal of continuing the process to potentially raise the threshold above 80 kW in the future.
For Campania, therefore, the measure affects a particularly large potential audience, with over two million owners and more than three and a half million vehicles currently under the established limit.
