Gennaro Broya of Lucia
ROME. The 16th National Assembly of Conflavoro was held in Rome at the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone, with institutional greetings from Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, a speech by national president Roberto Capobianco, and speeches by, among others, ministers Francesco Lollobrigida, Gilberto Pichetto Fratin, and Marina Calderone.
Concluding the meeting, Gennaro Broya de Lucia, president of Conflavoro PMI Sanità, focused on the future of SMEs and the Italian medtech industry. Two crucial events are in the works: the Council of State's decision on medical device payback and, on October 20, the hearing before the Constitutional Court on the 0,75% tax on turnover from supplies to the National Health Service.
"At stake are businesses, jobs, and technologies essential for healthcare. Businesses must be able to survive today and build their future," says de Lucia. Hence the appeal to politicians: "It's time to take responsibility for a definitive solution and concretely protect small and medium-sized businesses. Because only policies that protect SMEs truly protect Italy."
