The third monitoring cycle, relating to the sampling carried out from 10 to 11 September, recorded a total concentration of dioxins, furans and dioxin-like PCBs equal to 0,038 pg/Nm3 I-TEQ, lower than the reference value of 0,15 pg/Nm3 I-TEQ.

The fire at the Taverna del Re site
ARPA Campania has released the results of the third monitoring cycle carried out near the waste storage site in bales at Taverna del Re in Giugliano (NA), following the fire of September 6th.
Sampling conducted from September 10 to 11 revealed a total concentration of dioxins, furans, and dioxin-like polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) dispersed in the air equal to 0,038 pg/Nm3 I-TEQ (picograms per cubic meter, in terms of total toxicity equivalent). This value is lower than the reference parameter currently used in the literature, indicated as 0,15 pg/Nm3 I-TEQ (source: Lai, Germany).
Please note that this is the third monitoring cycle; ARPA Campania refers you to its institutional website for any updates on ongoing activities and subsequent analytical results.
