Strict controls in Vomero: 42 people identified and fines issued to shops and motorists.

The State Police, together with the Guardia di Finanza and the Local Police, have intensified checks in the Vomero nightlife area, with numerous identifications, fines, and checks on commercial establishments.

Yesterday evening, the Vomero neighborhood was the scene of a series of targeted checks ordered by the Naples Police Headquarters to ensure safety in the city's nightlife areas. The operation involved State Police personnel from the Vomero-San Carlo Arena Police Station, Guardia di Finanza officers, local police officers, and workers from the Naples Local Health Authority.

The checks focused on the busiest areas, such as San Martino, Piazza Vanvitelli, Piazza Medaglie d'Oro, and Via Giordano, Via Scarlatti, and Via Falcone. During the operation, 42 people were identified, including four with criminal records. Six vehicles were also checked, resulting in 13 traffic violations and two administrative detentions.

In addition to checks on people and vehicles, officers also inspected nine businesses, finding 13 significant violations. Two businesses were fined for tax irregularities, including failure to regularly check cash registers and failure to maintain fiscal meters, including the failure to install a telematic cash register. These actions confirm the police's commitment to maintaining order and compliance in Naples' nightlife districts.
