Boccia's lawyer announces legal action against Natalia Potenza, Libero, and journalist Amadori.

Maria Rosaria Boccia's defense team is counterattacking following the publication of an article in today's edition of Libero. Attorney Francesco Di Deco, who is representing Boccia, has announced his intention to take legal action against Natalia Potenza, the newspaper, and journalist Giacomo Amadori.

The decision, the lawyer explains in a note, concerns "the statements and contents published in today's edition".

The protest over photography

The core of the defense's position concerns a photograph described in the article. Attorney Di Deco "categorically" disputes both its existence and its veracity, at least as it was depicted in the publication.

The defense also rejects any reconstruction that might lead one to believe that there were meetings or relationships of the nature suggested by the article between Maria Rosaria Boccia and Sigfrido Ranucci.

«Never meet alone»

In the press release, the lawyer adds a circumstantial element relating to the last two years. According to Di Deco, the meetings between Boccia and Ranucci always took place in the presence of other people and never between the two alone.

A clarification which, according to the defence, aims to deny the reconstruction contained in the publication and to clarify the nature of the relationship between the two.

Request for investigations by the judicial authority

The defense's announced initiative will not, according to the lawyer, be limited to publicly challenging the article. "Judicial authorities will be asked to determine any liability arising from the publication and dissemination of such content," Di Deco states.

The lawyer also announced that similar measures may be considered against anyone repeating or relaunching the same claims, provided the legal requirements are met.

The matter therefore moves to the judicial stage, where the contents, circumstances, and responsibilities relating to the contested publication will have to be verified.
