Drug dealer arrested in Traiano district on Via Orazio Coclite
During routine checks in the Rione Traiano neighborhood, police intercepted a 46-year-old man and found cocaine along with cash. A house search broadened the investigation.
Naples, anti-drug raid in the Traiano district: 46-year-old arrested for possession with intent to deal
Yesterday afternoon, officers from the San Paolo Police Station arrested a 46-year-old man for possession of narcotics with intent to sell.
During a territory check on Via Orazio Coclite, the man attempted to escape and, once stopped, was found in possession of three packages of cocaine weighing 1,1 grams and €200 in cash.
The operation prompted officers to also search the suspect's home, where they found 15 packages of cocaine weighing a total of 5,5 grams and €3.760 in banknotes of various denominations. The man was subsequently arrested by officers and handed over to the judicial authorities.
Yesterday's arrest marks the latest in a string of drug dealers jailed after last week's raid that dismantled the leadership of the Petrone Puccinelli clan, resulting in 31 arrests, and following the arrest the other day on Via Marco Aurelio.
Law enforcement pressure continues to be felt in one of the thriving drug dealing areas of Naples and its province.
