The scene of the tragedy and in the frame the victim Salvatore Russo
Quarto – Salvatore Russo, a 54-year-old worker from Pozzuoli, died on June 30 after being electrocuted by an exposed electrical cable. He was working in a garden in Quarto, in the province of Naples. The Naples Prosecutor's Office has opened an investigation into his death.
Two people are listed as suspects. Prosecutor Mario Canale has charged them with manslaughter. The suspects' status is currently being examined by investigators, as part of a proceeding in which the presumption of innocence applies.
The Naples Public Prosecutor's Office ordered a one-off technical investigation. The designated technicians were asked to analyze the electrical system's characteristics, verify whether it complies with legal regulations, whether the electrical grid is protected by a safety device, and whether precautions appropriate to the type of work being carried out had been taken.
The victim's family is being represented by lawyers Francesco Petruzzi and Leopoldo Perone. The technical investigation will begin on September 23rd. That will be the crucial phase in determining the cause of death and any liability.
