Bacoli inaugurates the Giancarlo Siani nursery school: 40 free spaces and new facilities by the end of the year.
Bacoli celebrates the start of the school year at the Giancarlo Siani municipal nursery school, named after the young journalist killed by the Camorra. It has been confirmed that 40 children will attend the nursery free of charge, inaugurating a program aimed at universal access to early childhood services.
Mayor Josi Gerardo Della Ragione announced that two additional municipal daycare centers will be operational by the end of the year: one on Via Cuma and the other on Via Guardascione. The current facility could accommodate over 110 children, with the goal of providing new job opportunities and boosting demand for educational services in the area.
Furthermore, once the needs of resident families have been met, the possibility of opening registration to families from neighboring municipalities, Monte di Procida and Pozzuoli, would be explored, transforming the center into a virtuous hub for the Phlegraean Fields.
During the inauguration event, the mayor emphasized the importance of transforming public education into a model of efficiency and quality. Paolo Siani, the journalist's brother and a doctor, also spoke, thanking them for their presence and for their contribution to shared educational programs.
The commitment of the Amira company, which continues to invest in the area, was also recognized. The mayor also thanked Deputy Mayor Mauro Cuocco and Councilor Cinzia Massa for their coordinated efforts that made the inauguration possible without delay, reaffirming the administration's commitment to a public school that increasingly meets the needs of families.
