Caserta – A night of extraordinary checks, searches, and arrests sealed off the area between Marcianise and the surrounding municipalities. Between the evening of October 2nd and the night of October 3rd, 2026, a massive coordinated "High Impact" operation involved 13 patrols and 26 officers from the Marcianise Company, supported by colleagues from Aversa and Casal di Principe, along with specialists from the NAS Caserta and the Sarno Canine Unit, including drug-sniffing dog Luna.
The overall toll of the operation is massive: 212 people and 92 vehicles checked, five arrests, several reports at large, one business suspended, and heavy fines.
Anti-drug raid in Sant'Arpino: a 40-year-old man arrested
The most significant drug trafficking operation took place in Sant'Arpino. During a personal and home search, the Carabinieri arrested a 40-year-old man. Thanks in part to the unerring nose of their dog Luna, they found 10 grams of cocaine, one gram of crack, a precision scale, and packaging materials. The search also uncovered eight illegally held .380 caliber bullets. The man was placed under house arrest pending a summary hearing.
Also on drug charges, a 54-year-old man in Marcianise was reported at large after being found with 1,5 grams of cocaine divided into four doses and €380 in cash. Eight other people were reported to the Prefecture for drug use (a total of 10 grams of hashish and 2 grams of marijuana were seized).
Hunt for wanted men: four arrests between Orta di Atella and Gricignano
The service has allowed the execution of several detention orders issued by the judicial authorities. Three people were arrested in Orta di Atella.
A 40-year-old man serving a remaining nine-month prison sentence for violating his family support obligations (conducted up to 2016) was taken to prison in Santa Maria Capua Vetere.
A 43-year-old man was arrested for a substitution measure. He is serving a four-year sentence for drug dealing and has been placed under house arrest. A 45-year-old man, already under house arrest, has been placed under house arrest.an arrest warrant was issued that he must serve 5 years and one month in prison for possession and dealing in conjunction.
A 34-year-old man was arrested in Gricignano di Aversa and given a definitive sentence. He is serving a 4-year and 6-month prison sentence for an aggravated robbery involving the use of a weapon committed in Aversa in 2017.
Hygiene deficiencies and illegal work: a business in Gricignano has been suspended.
The Anti-Adult Food and Sanitation Unit (NAS) intervened at a food and beverage establishment in Gricignano di Aversa. The officers found serious violations: widespread filth, failure to meet minimum structural requirements, lack of hot water, and the absence of changing rooms for staff. Additionally, three illegal workers were found. The business was immediately suspended, 60 kg of food were seized, and administrative fines totaling €13.000 were imposed.
Theft at the Campania Shopping Center and heavy handedness on the streets
There was no shortage of interventions for common crimes. In Marcianise, the Carabinieri intercepted and reported two young adult students. The two girls had just stolen clothing worth approximately €100 from a store in the Campania Shopping Center. The stolen goods were recovered and returned to the store.
On the road safety front, the checks resulted in 38 traffic violations, totaling €34.700 in fines. Six vehicles were seized or administratively detained, while two drivers were reported at large for driving without a license (a repeated violation over the past two years).
