Juve Stabia announced today that it has filed an appeal against the National Federal Tribunal's decision of September 24, which imposed a two-point deduction on the club. The appeal was filed through Antonio Romei and Carlo Vitalini Sacconi, the club's legal representatives.
In the official statement, Juve Stabia confirmed its confidence in the work of the Sports Justice System, while reiterating its belief in the validity of its arguments. These arguments, the statement reads, "will be presented in the appropriate forums, in compliance with the institutions and principles that govern their activity."
The Federal Court's decision, issued on September 24, was related to the club's failure to submit documentation regarding the integrity and financial soundness requirements, along with a copy of the deed of acquisition, in relation to the sale of 100% of the company's capital, completed on April 17, to the newly formed Stabia Capital Srl. This sanction was added to the two-point penalty already served at the start of the season, causing the Wasps to slide to the bottom of the Serie B standings with just one point.
The appeal represents the latest chapter in a complex corporate and legal affair that has profoundly shaken the Castellammare di Stabia community in recent months.
The new penalty, according to the club's defense, is linked to "failures to comply with obligations that Stabia Capital should have covered." Hence, the club believes it can demonstrate its lack of involvement and obtain the restitution of the points. As Guerri himself stated in recent days, "I believe there are solid reasons to demonstrate Juve Stabia's lack of involvement and request the restitution of the points."
The ball is now in the courts of sport, called upon to evaluate the appeal filed by the Gialloblù club. For Juve Stabia and its fans, the goal is clear: to overturn a penalty deemed unfair and attempt to climb a league table that, after months of corporate turmoil, appears increasingly challenging.
