Official pre-regatta data show popular participation and effective management. Mayor Manfredi sees Naples as a hub for national and international growth and calls for even more comprehensive logistics for the next edition.

America's Cup: Naples revitalizes its reputation and aims for a record-breaking 2027 regatta.
Naples is breathing in the America's Cup buzz at a time that official pre-regatta figures describe as particularly significant. According to official sources, public attendance was high, and coordination among institutions met expectations, generating significant direct and indirect economic impact.
The preliminary analysis therefore highlights an effect that goes beyond the individual event: a capital of trust and attention around the city that the organizers intend to communicate and spread.
"The America's Cup represents a great opportunity for the growth of our region," said Naples Mayor Gaetano Manfredi. "It's not just a publicity stunt, but rather evidence of a renewed national and international focus."
For Manfredi, the positive effect isn't temporary: "It doesn't last a few days, but becomes permanent. Naples' reputation in Italy and around the world has finally changed: the pre-regatta sealed it." The administration aims to capitalize on this importance for 2027 as well, but with an even more comprehensive organization to manage three months of competition between May and July, hoping the benefits will extend beyond the historic center to the islands, the coast, and the region's inland areas.
The mayor therefore calls on all involved institutions and the city to prepare in advance: the goal is to repeat and amplify the hospitality and logistical efficiency, transforming the sporting challenge into a lever for sustainable development for Naples and the entire Vesuvian area.
