After the fire that interrupted its activities, the Teatro Sannazaro is reopening in the Mediterranean with Café Chantant – My World by Lara Sansone. A three-day performance from October 16 to 18, 2026, followed by further performances in December and January.

Naples: Café Chantant My World opens the season at the Mediterranean with Lara Sansone
Following the fire that hit the Teatro Sannazaro last February, the season restarts in the Teatro Mediterraneo area: on Friday, October 16th at 21:00 pm, Café Chantant – My World by Lara Sansone will be performed, featuring Lucio Pierri, Massimo Peluso, Mario Aterrano, and Toni Guido, accompanied by the café chantant orchestra and ballet.
"Let's start from ourselves," says Lara Sansone, "from a show that is our identity."
"The huge outlays that accompany this work demonstrate that the public has understood our intentions and is following us."
The production is curated by Tradizione e Turismo Centro di Produzione Teatrale – Teatro Sannazaro. Sets by Michele Gigi, music by Ettore Gatta, choreography by Alessandro di Napoli, costumes by Luisa Gorgi Marchese and Mariano Ranno; lighting by Luigi Della Monica, makeup and hair by Ciro Florio, accessories by Carmine Russo. Press office by Roberta D'Agostino; organization by Salvatore Vanorio.
Starting from the Café Chantant means offering a variety show that breaks down all barriers with the audience. As per tradition, the seats in the auditorium give way to tables, transforming the stalls into a café-concert, with artists welcoming spectators at the entrance and leading them through the live music before the curtain falls.
My World is a very visual show, with a succession of costumes, sets and lights that change the atmosphere; the orchestra, the dance troupe and the performers give life to a stage machine capable of moving from a musical tableau to a comic sketch and to large ensemble choreographies.
A success story that continues: thirty years of magic and tradition, ritual and celebration. Café Chantant remains a Neapolitan signature, with performances scheduled for October and the December-January season.
While waiting to return to its historic location on Via Chiaia, the Teatro Sannazaro resumes its activities here: the seats give way to tables and the show takes center stage.
