Naples, Via Vespucci
Naples – He was under house arrest, but was out of his home when the State Police stopped him. A 27-year-old man with a criminal record has thus found himself in trouble again. He was arrested yesterday evening by officers from the Office of General Prevention and Public Aid.
The intervention was carried out as part of routine territorial control operations.
Police crews, passing along Via Amerigo Vespucci, checked the young man. This search led to the discovery of narcotics and cash.
During the search, the 27-year-old was found in possession of 29 packages of cocaine/crack, weighing a total of 5,7 grams. Officers also recovered €140 in cash, divided into bills of various denominations.
The substance, already divided into several packages, and the money were then seized. The young man was charged with unlawful possession for the purpose of drug trafficking.
The investigations carried out following the check revealed a further element: the 27-year-old was in fact under house arrest for drug-related crimes.
His presence on the street therefore also led to the charge of tax evasion, adding to the hypothesis relating to drug possession.
Following the investigation, the 27-year-old was arrested by State Police officers and handed over to the judicial authorities for further investigation.
