Vairano Patenora: 35-year-old Albanian man arrested after cocaine was sold on the street.

Carabinieri from the Vairano Scalo station arrested a 35-year-old Albanian man yesterday afternoon, an illegal immigrant with no fixed abode in Italy, as part of an operation to combat drug dealing in Via Bonifica, Vairano Patenora (CE).

According to the investigation, the man allegedly sold two doses of cocaine to two buyers, aged 43 and 44, for a payment of €60. During the search, officers found another dose of crack cocaine, €656 in unaccounted-for cash, and a smartphone. The material found was seized; the drugs will be subjected to further investigation.

The arrest was formalized following the completion of the required procedures. The arrested person was held in the holding cells at Caserta Station pending a summary hearing scheduled for this morning. The two buyers have been identified and their whereabouts are being verified. As required by law, the arrested person is to be considered not guilty until a final sentence is reached.

The investigation was initiated by monitoring the area and gathering information, which allowed the Carabinieri to identify the exchange and intervene promptly.
