A 55-year-old man died in Cerro a Volturno, in the province of Isernia, from the consequences of burns he suffered by lighting a fire in his home fireplace. The domestic accident dates back to a few days ago, but the official news of his death, which occurred last Thursday in Naples, in a specialized burn center, was only announced today. The flames apparently came out of the fireplace, engulfing the man's body, as they were fueled with the use of flammable substances. The man was initially admitted to the hospital in Isernia.
