Naples – A trivial argument escalated in a matter of moments into a shooting in the heart of the waterfront crowded with tourists and families.
It happened on Sunday afternoon in Rotonda Diaz, where Angel Bottino, 34 years old, on semi-liberty for previous crimes, took out a revolver and fired several shots at Vincenzo Rapuano and Vincenzo Papa, two carnies he was arguing with.
Bottino was in the company of his four minor children when the argument degenerated. The two men were wounded, one in the abdomen, the other in a forearm, but their conditions are not worrying: they will recover in a few days.

In the meantime, between the Panic broke out among the crowd on the promenade, with dozens of people fleeing in an attempt to take shelter.
The aggressor he tried to escape, ignoring the halt of a patrol of police motorcyclists, but his escape was short-lived: he was stopped and arrested.
The episode shocked the city, also because two very popular events were taking place in the same area: the convention Neapolitan Brothers of Italy and the finals of the Tennis Napoli Cup, with thousands of spectators present.
Following the incident, the Prefect of Naples, Michele Di Bari, announced a strengthening of controls to ensure greater security in the area.

It's a real shame that people can't control their emotions, how can they shoot in a crowd? This kind of behavior should not be tolerated, especially with children involved.
