The Federal Prosecutor - having examined the statements released on December 17 and noted that no corrections have been published - has referred the president of Genoa, Enrico Preziosi, to the National Federal Court, Disciplinary Section, "for having publicly expressed statements damaging the reputation of referee Marco Di Bello". The number one of the Genoa club, the day after the defeat against Roma, stated: "There was only bad faith, a referee cannot refuse to go and check if there is a foul in the area. Pandev was clearly pushed from behind while he was about to hit the ball. This is a real disgrace. Di Bello should no longer referee". The club was referred for direct liability for the disciplinary violations attributed to its president.
