Boat Impact, “Caretta” Turtle Found Dead

The complaint of the ENPA: the collision with a propeller-driven vessel was fatal
Vietri sul Mare. A new victim of what the volunteers of the National Animal Protection Agency call “our wrong way of living”. The zoophilic guards have in fact reported the death of a “caretta caretta” turtle near the beach of Vietri sul Mare. The ENPA intervened after a report from some passers-by who had noticed the animal’s carcass on the shoreline. Few doubts for the volunteers: the turtle would have died due to the impact with a propeller-driven boat. “Unfortunately – underline the Salerno activists of the ENPA – these animals are victims of our wrong way of living. Plastic, nets and boats are a real problem for them”.
