Fifteen officers from the Mobile Operations Group of the Penitentiary Police took up duty last night in the Carinola prison in Caserta, where the staff has been decimated by Covid-19.
The decision of the Department of Penitentiary Administration follows the joint request of the unions (Sinappe, Osapp, Uil Pa, Uspp, Fns Cisl, Cnpp and Fp Cgil) who in recent days also launched an appeal to the president of the Campania Region Vincenzo De Luca, to the prefect of Caserta, Raffele Ruberto and to the general director of the ASL of Caserta, Ferdinando Russo.
In Carinola prison, there is an active outbreak that has made just under 30 officers unavailable for duty.
