The European Commission awards the seal of excellence in research to Parthenope
First University in Campania to receive this international recognition and one of the 18 Italian institutions to be included in this European list
Parthenope University – the first university in Campania – has received the seal of excellence in research from the European Commission.
By receiving the “HR Excellence in Research” logo from the Directorate-General for Research & Innovation of the European Commission, the University effectively becomes part of a network of 595 international institutions of excellence, 18 of which are Italian.
The full list is published on EURAXESS, the portal of the European Commission (https://euraxess.ec.europa.eu/jobs/hrs4r/awarded).
The European Commission has thus recognized that the University of Campania has adapted to the principles dictated by the European Charter for Researchers, a further tool to promote internationalization in research.
With the release of the logo, the University becomes an increasingly integral part of the European Research Area (ERA), thus generating an attractive effect for private investments and for the best European and international brains and promoting to the attention of the public opinion the key role of researchers for the social, cultural and economic development of Europe.
The procedure for obtaining the certification was started in 2018 by the internal Commission for the management of the Human Resources Strategies for Researchers (HRS4R) process, formed by the Steering Committee, the Administrative Working Group and the Researchers Focus Group.
The Steering Committee, formed by Prof. Elio Jannelli, Prof. Pierluigi Caramia, Prof. Giuseppe Moschera, Dr. Giuseppe Aiello, carried out the works that were coordinated by the Head of the Community and International Research Projects Office, Dr. Giovanna Apice.
