Della Gatta president of Ance Campania, succeeds Gennaro Vitale who has held the regional representation since 2015
Louis of the Cat, 41 years old, a building contractor from Caserta, former president of the builders of Terra di Lavoro, is the new president of theReeds Campania.
The assembly of the regional association of builders, meeting at the headquarters of the Industrialists' Union of Caserta, unanimously elected the successor of Gennaro Vitale, from Naples, who has held the regional representation since 2015.
During the works, the data of the regional sector were made known, which recorded a 2020% drop in investments in 9,5 and a 9,7% decrease in hours worked and a 27% decrease in sales in the real estate market. “With over 30 thousand construction companies, the construction sector represents the backbone of the Campania economy – Della Gatta declared – and after a decline greater than that of the post-war period, the signs for the end of 2021 are moderately encouraging.
In Campania, according to data processed by our research center, an 8,5% increase in construction investments is expected, but still insufficient to recover pre-Covid levels.

We will be engaged on the front line to strengthen the representative role of the regional construction system and we will focus on the immediate modification of the current regional laws on the key issues of the increase in raw materials, the extension of the Superbonus and above all on the simplifications necessary to give a decisive push to new works in view of the Recovery Fund”.
Also at the center of the assembly's work was the need to confirm the employment bonus until 2029 and to push for the 110% Superbonus "which can give a great boost to the sector of redevelopment and safety of buildings, creating thousands of jobs".
On the residential construction front, it was highlighted that, starting from the summer quarter, a reversal of the trend was observed with a 9,4% increase in housing transactions. But it is the public works sector that recorded the greatest decline, after the two-year period 2018-2019 in recovery in our region compared to the historic low recorded in 2017 in the demand for public works in Campania. In 2020, in fact, the decline was 10,4%.
“To activate the restart, certainties are needed on the duration of the benefits, starting from the Superbonus intended as a tool for development, modernization and safety of the territory – Della Gatta underlined – but above all, everyone's commitment is needed to improve the regional bureaucracy awaiting the great test of planning and spending the European resources of Next Generation Eu.
We, as a representative of the builders, will forcefully ask to accelerate these processes, and we are already fully committed to the challenge already underway to increase the productive potential of Campania. And we will do it through the propulsive action of the Regional Builders Association, which has always been a protagonist of the lasting development of our regional territory”.
