Goletta Verde arrives in Naples, tomorrow a week from G20, flash mob at Castel dell'Ovo
We will never stop, is the motto that accompanies the vessel on its journey in defense of the coasts and the sea. Since last year, Goletta Verde has availed itself of the precious help of hundreds of volunteers engaged in water sampling: an extraordinary example of citizen science, involving young people from all over Italy.
Coastal erosion and hydrogeological instability, beach and marine litter, ports, off-shore wind power, the fight against the climate crisis and fossil fuels, wastewater purification, marine protected areas, reclamation of polluted territories, and the fight against plastic pollution in the sea are the major themes of this year's campaign, which started in Genoa at the beginning of July and will end in Friuli Venezia Giulia in mid-August.
