An agreement should be signed in the next few days dpcm with general indications on the methods of checks for holders of the Green passes, both in the public administration and private sectors, possibly also with the help of an app.
They should be included in the document, they could be guidelines already agreed with the Regions.
Just under 350 new people vaccinated with the first dose in the last week and about 8 million non-immunized, many of whom are workers. A few days before October 15, the date on which the mandatory green pass for public and private employees will come into force, the 'race' of the undecided to the green certificate is not currently in high gear. In view of that date, however, the Prime Minister Mario Draghi should sign general indications, in the form of a Prime Ministerial Decree, on the methods of checks for pass holders, both within the public administration and for companies.
And it is not excluded that an app – of the same type as that used for school personnel – can also be made available for other sectors of the workforce. The indications – as will happen for the Public Administration – could include daily checks and preferably to access the company, randomly (at no less than 20% and with a rotation criterion) or across the board, with or without the aid of automatic systems.
From Government, however, the firmness remains on what has already been established: the validity times of the green passport for those who perform the swabs do not change and remain 48 hours with rapid tests and 72 with molecular tests. Therefore, no 'derogation' or last-minute changes to the rules and therefore the unvaccinated (exempt with certificate excluded) will have to adapt.
Possible news, the undersecretary clarifies Andrea Costa, they could arrive only in 2022. “It will be possible to review and possibly reduce the current application of the green pass at the beginning of the new year if the epidemic data continues to show an improving trend, but – Costa specifies – a more precise evaluation will be made in December in conjunction with the expiry of the state of emergency which we hope will end”.
For his colleague, the undersecretary Maurizio Sileri, “the rules on the use of masks will also be reviewed, as well as quarantines, isolations and more. The green pass – he added – will probably be the last thing that will be removed”.
