The Carabinieri of the Gragnano station arrested a 26-year-old local man in flagrante delicto for spending, manufacturing and introducing into the State counterfeit banknotes and documents.
In his home they found 39 fake identity cards, 44 counterfeit 20 euro notes and 4500 euros in cash of various denominations, the origin of which has not been clarified.
And again 15 payment cards registered to other people, 1 computer and a printer used to reproduce banknotes. Among the files stored on the hard disk of the PC, in a folder renamed "stolen green passes", some matrices used to counterfeit green passes.
Many green certificates were ready to be printed and already reported the personal data of other people, certainly unaware of the use of their sensitive data. The young man is now under house arrest, awaiting trial.
