Camorra, the Carabinieri arrest a leading member of the De Martino clan in Ponticelli.

It is Francesco De Martino, born in 69, who was serving house arrest in his home in Ponticelli when the Carabinieri of the local station arrested him.

A prominent member of the clan that bears his name, the 51-year-old was locked up in the Secondigliano prison, in execution of a provision issued by the Attorney General's Office at the Court of Appeal of Naples which restored the previous state of detention in prison.

De Martino will serve the last nine months of a 4-year, 4-month prison sentence for mafia-type association and private violence in the Neapolitan penitentiary.
