Covid, 2-year-old girl dies in hospital in Rome.
It is at night at the Bambino Gesu' hospital in Rome: the little girl had been transferred yesterday from Calabria due to the worsening of her health conditions due to Covid-19.
The little girl, originally from the province of Crotone, had first been transferred from the hospital in Crotone to the one in Catanzaro, but yesterday an Air Force C-130J had transferred her to Ciampino airport.
The request for emergency air transport was made by the prefecture of Catanzaro, which was followed, after coordination with the Italian Patient Evacuation Coordination Cell (Itapecc) of the Joint Operations Command (Covi), which provides advice on the transportability of patients in this type of mission, by the Situation Room of the Air Squad Command to one of the Air Force crews. During the night, the child's condition worsened further and she died.
