Bologna remembers Lucio Dalla, from March 4th an exhibition on the singer-songwriter: films, stage costumes and memorabilia to remember him in over ten sections
“Lucio Dalla. Anche se il tempo passa” is the title of the exhibition dedicated to the famous artist promoted by the Municipality of Bologna and hosted at the Museo Civico Archeologico from March 4 (the day of Dalla’s birth) to July 17.
It is one of the initiatives with which Bologna is preparing to commemorate the tenth anniversary of his death. The one in Bologna will be only the first stop on a traveling journey that will also bring the exhibition to Rome, from September 22nd at the Ara Pacis, and in 2023, on the occasion of the eightieth anniversary of the singer-songwriter's birth, to Naples and Milan.
The exhibition, conceived and organized by Cor (Create Organize Realize), was curated by Alessandro Nicosia with the Lucio Dalla Foundation. Many of the materials, the result of extensive research, will be exhibited to the public for the first time, and document the entire human and artistic journey of one of the most beloved Italian and international artists who has left an indelible mark on the history of culture in general, as well as on that of music.
The exhibition will consist of over ten sections: Family-Childhood-Friendships-Musical Beginnings, Dalla Tells Us, The Clarinet, The Dalla Museum, Dalla and His Music, Dalla and Cinema, Dalla and Theater, Dalla and Television, The Dalla Universe, Dalla and Roversi, Dalla and His Bologna. But also in the other host cities there will be a section that will bear witness to the artist's relationship with those realities. Documents, therefore, together with many photos, films, stage costumes and other aspects, also collected in a substantial catalog published by Skira.
