He defrauds the Campania Region and buys the Ferrari model “348 TB”: assets worth 600 thousand euros are seized against a Cilento entrepreneur.

By order of the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Vallo della Lucania , the Guardia di Finanza of Salerno has executed a precautionary seizure , aimed at confiscation of equivalent value, against a businessman from Cilento.

The Finance Police of the Vallo della Lucania Police Station, also through banking investigations, have ascertained that the person responsible, with the sole aim of obtaining regional financing , had only formally opened a sole proprietorship, carrying out construction work, fictitiously registering it in the name of a foreign individual.

The company, indicated as the material executor of the renovation of a property that would have been used for the construction of a residential community for the elderly by a cooperative managed by the suspect, turned out to be a mere "shell company", a company without any economic substance, operational structure or dependent personnel, whose task was only to produce substantially false accounting documents.

In fact, the same had not carried out any restoration work, despite issuing invoices to the Campania Region to certify the progress of the works (SAL).

Specifically, it was ascertained that the mastermind of the scam, as soon as he received the credit of the funds on the cooperative's current account, transferred them to the construction company, which in turn re-credited the sums to the entrepreneur's personal current accounts, thus illegally taking possession of the subsidized money.

To ensure the recovery of both the amounts unduly received (financing) and those owed to the Treasury (evaded taxes), the investigating judge of the Court at the headquarters, at the request of the Public Prosecutor's Office, has therefore ordered the precautionary seizure, aimed at confiscating the equivalent of financial resources, real estate and assets, including a Ferrari model "348 TB" , for a total amount of over 600.000 euros, against the legal representative of the cooperative.

The latter will have to answer for the crime of aggravated fraud against the Campania Region, aimed at obtaining undue contributions , and for using invoices for non-existent transactions.
