Boscoreale. The load of fennel is lost from the truck and the crates hit and killed a passerby.
The incredible tragedy occurred late this morning on the outskirts of Boscoreale and precisely in via Sardoncelli, a border road with Scafati. A truck driver was transporting a load of fennel that he had recently collected from a nearby farmland when, for reasons currently being ascertained, on a bend the truck lost some boxes full of fennel.
Unfortunately, a man who lives nearby happened to be walking by. He was hit on the head by the heavy load and died instantly. The local police, the carabinieri and the magistrate on duty from the Torre Annunziata Prosecutor's Office were on site to carry out checks and investigations.
The man driving the truck, in a state of shock, was then subjected to all the necessary tests.
