The autopsy will establish the causes of death of the young Ukrainian Anastasiia Bondarenko. The expert report will have to determine whether she died from the beatings inflicted by her arrested ex-partner Dmytro Trembach or from the fire set to the apartment by the man after the argument.
Dmytro Trembach, 53, was infatuated with Anastasiia Bondarenko, thirty years younger. Just eighteen, she had had a daughter with him. Then from Ukraine the arrival in Italy, where Anastasiia got by with occasional domestic work and as a carer; he instead was a construction worker, with little economic stability. At the root of the murder, preceded by days of threats and arguments, which were witnessed by five compatriots of the couple who lived in the same apartment in vico Sant'Antonio Abate, was his jealousy.
The victim had in fact mentioned the idea of leaving him and for Dmytro this had to be paid with his life. So he set fire, probably with gasoline, to the apartment. The military of the Arma managed to identify the motive just a few hours after the discovery of the fire and the rescue and the hypotheses of the surveys on the spot gave a boost to the investigation, not for accident or suicide but for murder.
The arrest was made by order of detention because the man was about to leave Naples: if the war had not broken out, he would have taken the first bus to Kiev.
