The architect and artist Riccado Dalisi passed away in Naples. Tomorrow the funeral in the Church of San Francesco d'Assisi in Vomero.
Born in Potenza on May 1, 1931, he held the chair of Design in the Faculty of Architecture of the University Federico II where he was director and teacher of the School of Specialization in Industrial Design. In the Seventies, together with Sottsass, Mendini and others, he was the founder of the Global Tools, so-called radical architecture whose works are part of the permanent collections of the Centre Pompidou in Paris and the Madre in Napoli.
Always engaged in social work, in his expressive research he has used 'poor' materials. In 1981 he won the Compasso d'Oro for his research on the Neapolitan coffee maker. His creativity has been expressed through research, design, sculpture, painting, art, and craftsmanship. With the Compass di latta launched an initiative in the name of eco-compatibility and degrowth.
