Sapri, windshield shatters: fear aboard bus with students. Emergency maneuver on A2 highway: student injured
Fear for a school group from Sapri, in the province of Salerno, on a school trip aboard a coach on the A2 Mediterranean motorway. At the height of the northbound lane of the Campagna junction, in the Salerno area, the windshield of the vehicle was suddenly hit by a piece of iron present on the roadway accidentally moved by another vehicle that was preceding the coach.
The bus driver, with skill, avoided the worst by managing to stop the vehicle on the emergency lane. However, the splinters of the broken windshield slightly injured a student who was treated on the spot by the 118 paramedics.
The students resumed their educational trip to Naples on another bus promptly made available by the same transport company that owned the damaged bus.
The Highway Patrol officers and Anas personnel intervened on the spot. Vehicular traffic did not slow down.
